Y-HAPLOGROUP J
Y-Haplogroup J (M304) is perceived to have originated roughly 48,000 years ago in Western Asia. This haplogroup is closely related to Haplogroup I (M170). The major subgroups are J1 (M267) and J2 (M172), and they comprise almost all of this haplogroup population.
Haplogroup J is found in greater concentration in the Arabian Peninsula, it also has a significant presence in North Africa and Horn of Africa region. In Southern Europe, mostly in central and southern Italy, Malta, Greece, and Albania, this haplogroup has moderate occurrence.
