Family Tree DNA

https://haplomaps.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/FamilyTreeDna.mp4

Among other things, Family Tree DNA has gained a global reputation because of being the only option to offer three types of DNA testing – Autosomal, mtDNA, and Y-DNA. To execute the tests, you need to submit a cheek swab via mail. Results will be available in about four weeks. One feature that sets it apart from many of its competitors is the ability to have the results transferred to providers of similar service. Members are also given the opportunity to take part in various ancestry and genealogical projects.

Pricing Information
The prices will differ depending on which specific test you want to avail. The basic Family Finder Plan costs $79. On the other hand, Family Finder and Y-DNA tests start at $248. Lastly, Family Finder and mtDNA Full Sequence Test starts at $278.
Pros
Provides direct to consumer DNA testing
DNA tests are privacy-protected
You will be provided with the email addresses of your DNA matches
Samples are stored for 25 years
Cons
Small database
High possibility of receiving spam emails

Final Verdict

In sum, Family Tree DNA offers basic packages that are available at affordable prices. Samples are kept for 25 years, and they offer all three types of DNA tests. The problem, however, is that they have a small community.
